WITH THE DANUBE will be performed on 30 October 2026 for the opening of Wien Modern at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Save the date!
Until October, I mainly work on the project WITH THE DANUBE conceived and commissioned for this year’s opening of the festival Wien Modern.
The piece is being composed in collaboration with the Danube River whom I perceive as a living landscape and ecosystem that I am part of. The performance will involve soprano Juliet Fraser, performers Satu Hakamäki and Elie Halonen and the RSO Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna conducted by Irene Delgado-Jiménez. Scenographer Lisa Horvath creates an installation, video and stage design for the concert space. My part is to co-compose instrumental, vocal and electronic music and text and I am part of the creative group with Juliet, Lisa, Elie and Satu. I also keep an overview of the entire process.
