2026 state scholarship
I’m very happy to announce that the experimental multispecies composition project WITH THE DANUBE was awarded a State Scholarship in composition for the year 2026 from the Republic of Austria. Although, formally, I receive the scholarship, I’m not the only composer here. The process is shared with the Danube River, it is a co-creative project between human beings and a living landscape. The preparations and activities around this project began last year. I spent many days in the National Park Donau Auen, immersed in the presence of the charismatic fluvial being, listening, watching, witnessing. Interacting, or, as Karen Baras suggests, intra-acting.
